The Brief

Web Development

Winchester Churches Nightshelter provides a vital lifeline to those experiencing homelessness in Hampshire. They wanted to be recognised as a charity at the heart of the community, as well as a pioneering and modern nightshelter that is finding innovative ways to improve homelessness services during times of sector-wide funding cuts. In their 30th year, Winchester Churches Nightshelter approached us to modernise their image, create a stronger and more consistent brand identity and build a website to show the massive impact they are having on peoples’ lives.

We designed the website to increase donations, help recruit volunteers, and for residents wishing to access information about the charity’s services. We developed an online volunteer rota system that could be managed in-house, but accessed via the website, thus saving time and effort for all those concerned.

The new website enables us to use multimedia stories in an effective way, allowing the client to engage their audience with the human stories behind the Nightshelter. Their previous site was not mobile optimised effectively so we made this a priority for converting visitors into supporters and donors via mobile.
