St John’s Winchester

A new website to help people find the support they need

St John’s Winchester has supported its local community for almost 900 years, providing almshouse accommodation and dementia support for older people and their families. We helped the charity refresh its website, creating a welcoming, easy-to-use experience that puts its people and services first. Accessibility was a key focus throughout the design. Clear navigation, readable typography and simple page layouts help visitors find information, understand the support available and take the next step. We brought warmth to the existing identity through gentle colours and people-focused imagery, with a consistent experience across desktop, tablet and mobile.

We rebuilt the website on WordPress with flexible, editable pages, making it easier for the team to update information, share news and keep content relevant. Clear routes to housing applications, dementia support and volunteering help connect visitors with the right service, while keeping everyday website management straightforward for the charity.
The result is a refreshed website designed around the needs of the people who use it, giving St John’s a practical foundation to support its work in the community.
